The University of Glasgow is seeking a successor to Professor Seamus Ross, Director of Humanities Advanced Technology & Information Institute (HATII), who will be taking up the post of Dean at the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto from January 2009.

survey of ICT in Scottish museums

The Scottish Museums Council has published the results of its recent survey of ICT in Scottish Museums to its website at http://www.scottishmuseums.org.uk/areas_of_work/ICT/ICT_survey.asp .

The survey of SMC members was conducted in October and achieved a very ositive response rate of over 50%. The report maps the results against hose of the last ICT survey which was conducted just after the launch f the SMC's 'A national ICT strategy for Scotland's museums' in 2004, nd is one way in which SMC is measuring the outcomes and benefits of this publication.
