
david and i are completing an article for the Encyclopedia of Library and Information Science .... it's got me wondering about what the 'general, intelligent reader' might want to know about museums and the web.
i'm thinking we need to answer the following questions:

We are seeking a consultant with a high level of technical expertise in online catalogues, information architecture and search engines optimisation, to undertake a feasibility study considering the viability of an ambitious online resource integrating national museum collections. This opportunity would suit someone who has a passion for improving user experience and a talent for harnessing the most innovative and appropriate technologies to bring content to life. You should have experience of working with web technologies, project management skills, and a minimum of five years’ experience of delivering large, complex projects.
