Museum Studies Programs: That Was Then, This Is Now
Marla Misunas began this session by surveying the emergence of 'computer skills' as a requirement in collections management jobs advertised in Aviso. Amusingly, she notes, these were required first in assistant registrars, before registrars had to be computer literate. We are seeking expressions of interest from post-doctoral researchers with an exciting museum studies project which would benefit from a 9-10 month fellowship in the Department. Fellows are encouraged not only to conduct research but also to give lectures and seminars and to participate in the intellectual life of the institution.
