JOB POSTING: PHOTOGRAPHER

OVERVIEW: Provide digital photographic documentation for SAM's collection and exhibitions. Photograph 2D and 3D objects of
varying sizes and surfaces. Color correct and process images at the established museum and UPDIG standards.

FLSA STATUS: Exempt REPORTS TO: Senior Photographer of the Digital Imaging Department

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide digital documentation of the Museum's art collection for publication.

2. Plan composition and lighting of captures to meet museum standards and assignment objectives.

THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO is seeking a qualified candidate who
will, under the direction of the Manager of Museum Information
Systems, provide support for a broad array of museum technology
initiatives, focusing on projects involving interpretation of the
Museum collections in both the galleries and on the web. This may
include any or all of the following: concept development,
specification design, project management, content development,
application maintenance, and outcomes evaluation. Assists in
electronic communications projects intended for various audiences,
including teachers and other educators using various software tools.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE must have a Bachelor's degree. Additional
academic training in educational technology and outcomes evaluation
are highly valued. Academic background or experience in art or
museum education, and/or technology work experience is highly
preferred. Strong planning, organizational and communication skills
are required.

Web Developer: Art Gallery of Ontario

The Art Gallery of Ontario is looking for a Web Developer

AGO is looking for an experienced New Media Developer to maintain the AGO’s web properties (including the AGO web, blog, eCommerce and intranet sites) and to assist with the redevelopment of the AGO website – www.ago.net.

Reporting to the Manager of New Media, the New Media Developer:

• Plans, develops, tests, deploys and documents new web applications and templates. Implements ongoing web site infrastructure and feature improvements in response to needs of the Gallery’s public programming;
• Administers and monitors servers and scripts;
• Updates web content and templates. Administers distributed web authoring process;
• Maintains contact with Service Providers and IT staff to troubleshoot and remedy issues with hardware, software or networks and install, update and backup web servers, application servers, database servers and operating systems.
