Brief Description: Glenbow Museum, the University of Alberta's Art and Design Department and the University of Calgary's Art Department are working together to develop a substantial online prints resource Artist's Proof - Prints and Printmaking. This project will unify the expertise and content of three distinct partners to develop a comprehensive online project featuring some 2000 works of art, printmaking objects, letters, audio, video, documents and photographs from Glenbow relating to prints in artistic practice from the nineteenth century to the present.
This interactive online experience will include in-depth educational resources and activities to encourage Canadians to learn about the history and art of printmaking. Artist's Proof will present nationally and internationally significant print collections important to the cultural history of Canada. This innovative online learning resource web site on printmaking (to be hosted on Glenbow's site and accessible from all partner's sites) will be developed in French and English.
