We're delighted to welcome more than 650 delegates from 28 countries to Museums and the Web 2008 in Montreal, April 9-12, 2008. To make things easier for you, here are a few logistical reminders.

Registration

The MW2008 desk at the Hilton Bonaventure hotel will be open Wednesday - Saturday April 9 - 12 from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. It is at the base of the escalators on the Conference [Premier] level, one level below hotel registration.

If you are coming to a workshop or tour on Tuesday you should have already received details about that separately. [If not please contact mw2008 [at ] archimuse.com right away.]

Welcome Reception on Wednesday
Tickets are required for the Welcome Reception at the McCord Museum on Wednesday evening. Please stop by the Bonaventure Hilton to register before going to the reception. Buses will run from the Bonaventure Hilton in a continuous loop to the McCord (which is only about 4 blocks if you'd rather walk) from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Dress
MW conferences are business casual; there is no need to dress up. The weather forecast for Montreal next week is daytime highs around 12C/50F, lows at night around 4C/38F with a chance of some showers. So bring some warm (and weatherproof) outerwear. If you swim, the hotel has a great [heated] indoor/outdoor pool.

Food
Attendees will be served continental breakfasts each day, and coffee/juice and snacks at breaks. Lunch is always on your own. The evening receptions are intended to carry you over through the early evening hours until dinner - but there will be plenty of food for the hungry. Montreal has one of the most famous restaurant scenes in North America; we encourage you to try the cuisine.

Wireless access will be available throughout the conference area during the meeting. There will also be computers in the St. Michael room for those not traveling with laptops.
