| Abstract | More and more, Museums have educational objectives and visitors want to take part in the activities proposed. Interactivity and multimedia are tools that help reach these objectives. These tools may be used to place the visitor in a complex environment of learning and research. Since the Musée de la Civilisation opened five years ago, visitors have been able to explore a number of interactive systems in the exhibitions. As a result of these experiences, as well as from the development of technology and the needs of visitors, the project SIM emerged. It has been organised around the many facets that define interactive multimedia systems. | |
