| Abstract | A qualitative analysis that was carried out in the exhibition Zones de confluence, during the second edition of the biennale ?Villette Numérique?, has given the opportunity to examine the digital devices that were used and to evaluate the visitors? interaction with such artistic devices. The themes of the TIC are generally associated in society to the concept of interactivity. Technology implicitly would favour interactivity - defined as communication, action, or relation - with the devices: interactivity between the device and the diverse actors or the artist itself. But many denounce the illusory nature of interactivity with the use of devices that turn out to be more and more abstracts and where the role of the actors become increasingly controlled, manipulated, and pre-programmed. Nevertheless, such limited interactivity still offer some creative margins to the actors who are able to participate to the conceptual development of the piece. This debate around ?interactivity? would be particularly revealing of the variety of relations linking the artistic digital devices used for the exhibition to its various publics. | |
